Spencer was in the early years of grade school when this incident occurred. We used an old bath tub as a feed bunk. He was standing on the edge of the tub contemplating a jump over the electric fence. I was working in the barn at the time and looked up. Realizing what he was intending to do, I said “Don’t do it, you’ll get zapped”! He attempted a jump. We don’t know exactly what happened (I looked away and missed it). But some how he managed to land between the wires, getting zapped continuously until he was able to free himself! Is this a lesson for listening to your mother or what? And which parent can we blame for this character trait?
