Buxton Feed is
a small family owned feed mill located in
Buxton Or.
We started the feed mill
in 2001. We intended to make our own cattle feed. As
people learned of our operation the demand for quality livestock
feed was realized. In response to this need, we have formulated
several feed products based upon customer requirements and input.
In 2000 our oldest son was attending Eastern Oregon
University for a OSU degree in Agri-Business.
He was always trying to find things we could do on our small farm
in western Washington county. He stumbled across an
advertisement in
the local farming newspaper (Capitol
Press) for an entire
livestock pellet mill
that was disassembled just outside of a
small community along the
southern Oregon coast.
During the summer of 2000 we hauled all of the parts
back to our
farm. By the end of May 2001, we made our 1st pellets. We have some good years behind us in
perfecting our very own and different style of pelleting feeds.
